Girls Winter HS League

The EPLA is offering a Girls HS Winter Lacrosse League for grades 7th through 12th grade at the EPHS Prairie Dome. 

The JV League is for 7th-12th graders and will play in the 7:00 game each week; the JV plays full field games with coaching.

The Varsity League  is open to 8th-12th graders and is for players expecting to play Varsity in the upcoming Spring! 
Varsity will have two start times and players will be grouped with players from their own school, play full field, and receive coaching from coaches not from their own school!  Per MSHSL rules.  All girls will receive reversible jerseys that they must bring each week.

 

Goalie Opportunities for JV & Varsity Lacrosse Leagues are new this year as we are offering a chance for Goalies to play for a greatly reduced price ($25.00) the opportunity to play in the JV & Varsity leagues.  As we have had many teams without a regular starting goalie and this system will allow us to fill a needed spot in the JV & Varsity games.  There are opportunities for six goalies a night to play lacrosse at the 7:00, 8:10 and 9:15 time slots.  Goalies who sign up and pay in the JV or Varsity leagues will be guaranteed a spot starting for their respective team, but for the teams that do not have a goalie, this would mean a chance to play many times over the winter months.   Goalies must have a current US Lacrosse membership (www.uslacrosse.org)   Goalies must have own equipment.

 

"New Comers Lacrosse"

This registration is for First time female lacrosse players grades 7th-12th who "Have never touched a lacrosse stick".   The cost is $160 per player.  The Prairie Dome at Eden Prairie High School.   The first part will feature beginning instruction in the game of lacrosse with drills emphasizing; passing,cradling,ground ball pickup, defense, shooting and player positioning on the field.  The last 4-week session will start on Monday February 13th through March 5th and have the players participate a 4 v4 league.   All girls will be expected to provide their own sticks, goggles, water bottles and mouth guards. All participants are required to be current members of the US Lacrosse Association. Membership in the US Lacrosse Association provides insurance benefits and is required by the EPLA for all participation in sponsored events. Registration is through the old EPLA website. Register early as this league fills quickly!   Part of the registration process will allow you to become an EPLA member and will receive further correspondence regarding all EPLA lacrosse functions.
